Mail Order?????: 4852
Size: 16/38
Printed: Yes
Circa: 60's
Original Price:
Envelope Condition: Excellent

This a "Mail Order?????" pattern, a size 16/38, and I have no clue as to the date! If any of you know please tell me. The side drape looks like the 40's..the wrap style looks a bit like the 70's..the hair style is pretty timeless but has a bit of a 60's look..I just dont know. I do know that this is a great dress! What do we love??? Wrap dresses!! What else do we love?? Side drape skirts. This pattern has both. The drop shoulders form cap sleeves, gathers on the shoulder for bust fullness. May also (see small inset) have long sleeves. I think long or 3/4 sleeves actually balance the drape of the skirt better. This is an uncut/unused pattern.
PT29-57 Price: $40.00 New

Formal or street length dress...High waist..each section of the gored skirt begins above waist with a rounded edge giving a scalloped effect. Choice of necklines. That is Olivia DeHavilland pictured on the front. The envelope is in poor condition and the instruction sheets isn't much better. It is usable but has fold line tears. The pattern is in good condition. The piece for the little tie belt show in figure #2 is missing but easy to make, although I think adding the belt takes away from the pretty bodice area.
